EA850 UPS for electric power industry is designed by EAST to meet the needs for the development of Chinese electric power industry. The EA850 series electric power ups is specially designed for electric power plant, transformer substation, and power distribution substation. This dependable system has true double-conversion online technology and zero transfer function. This system is suitable to be used in electric power remote control, RTU, electric power carrier wave, electric power surveillance, etc. When the commercial power is in regular conditions, single phase or three phases input will go through inverter after isolation, rectification and wave filtering to provide power for the load. When the commercial power is in irregular conditions or there is a power-off, the backup DC screen in the power system will provide power through the inverted diode and inverter. When the voltage of DC screen becomes too low or there is a power-off, the static switch will turn to the bypass to provide power supply. When the commercial power resumes regular conditions, the UPS system will switch to commercial power supply and provide power for the load through UPS inverter. When the inverter works overload or there is a failure of the UPS, the electric power ups will switch to the bypass to provide power for the load, and this electric power ups will give out alert signal at the same time.

Rectifier
Single phase/three phase AC power input to rectifier through isolated transformer, when the fluctuation of commercial power voltage is within 10%, and the change of system load is within 0 to 100%, the fluctuation of DC output voltage of the rectifier will be within 1%.
Inverter
With high frequency carrier wave sine wave pulse width modulation technology, the inverter with IGBT modules inside can transform DC input to standard sine wave AC output, and at the same time the distortion will decrease to the greatest extent, the rectifier becomes smaller.
DC Screen
When the AC power supply network is under-voltage or there is a power failure, the DC screen connected to the DC terminals will continuously provide power. The DC screen will give out signal when discharging. When the DC screen reaches its discharge limit voltage, the UPS system will switch to its backup battery to work. When backup battery set reaches end discharging voltage, the UPS system will give out alarm signal.
Commercial power/Backup power
When using machines with dual AC input (commercial power as main source, the other as backup source), the UPS will switch to backup power source when the main commercial power goes irregular or there is a failure. When both AC power sources go wrong, the DC screen begins to work.
Static Switch
The static switch can switch between bypass mode and inverter mode without interruption, and the switchover can be realized automatically or manually.
Intelligent Surveillance
With RS232/RS485 port, non-powered connection points, the electric signal transmitting system will send the ongoing condition and data to D.C.S system, thus achieving intelligent surveillance.
